Privacy Policy
Summary
- Your dhikr counts, custom dhikr, reminders and settings stay on your device.
- There is no account and no sign-in.
- There are no ads and no advertising ID.
- We receive only anonymous crash and usage data through Google Firebase.
1. Who we are
Lisan is a dhikr and tasbeeh counting app for Android, published under the package name com.lisan.tasbeeh. If you have a question about this policy, email farhan.labib4@gmail.com.
2. Data that stays on your device
These things are stored locally on your phone, in the app's local database and app storage:
- Your dhikr counts and daily progress.
- Custom dhikr that you create.
- Your reminders.
- Your settings, such as language, theme and goals.
There is no account or sign-in. We do not receive this data.
3. Backups
The Back up data feature creates a file, and you choose where to save it or share it using the Android share sheet. Restore reads a file that you pick. Nothing is uploaded by us.
4. Reminders
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device using Android notifications. The app asks for the notification permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) and uses the device boot permission so that reminders return after a restart. No server push messages are used.
5. Data collected through Google Firebase
We use Google Firebase, provided by Google LLC, for three purposes: to fix crashes, to understand which features are used, and to improve the app. This data is not used for advertising.
Firebase Crashlytics
Crash reports and diagnostics. This includes your device model, Android version, app version, the crash stack trace, and a Firebase installation ID.
Firebase Analytics
Anonymous usage events and general device and app information. The app records these events:
- loop_completed
- dhikr_selected
- dhikr_saved
- reminder_saved
- backup_exported
- backup_restored
It also records standard automatic events, such as first open, app version, device model, language, and an approximate region at country level derived from your IP address.
These events never contain dhikr text, counts of personal significance, names, or contact details.
Firebase Remote Config
The app downloads configuration values. This request sends the Firebase installation ID and basic device information.
6. What we do not do
- No ads.
- No advertising ID. The permission has been removed from the app.
- No selling or renting of data.
- No location access beyond the country-level region derived from your IP address.
- No access to your contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
- No social-media tracking.
7. Sharing
We share data only with Google, as our processor for Firebase. Google's own policies apply: Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security. We do not share your data with other third parties. We may disclose data if required by law.
8. Retention
Local data stays on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app. Firebase Analytics event data is kept for up to 14 months, and Crashlytics data for up to 90 days. These are the Firebase defaults.
9. Your choices and deletion
Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device.
To request deletion of the analytics or crash data linked to your device installation, email farhan.labib4@gmail.com with your request and we will act on it. Because this data is anonymous, we may need your Firebase installation ID, which we cannot read from your device. Tell us your phone model and the approximate date, and we will do our best.
You can also reset your Android advertising and analytics identifiers in your system settings, and clear the app's data.
10. Security
Data transferred to Firebase is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and TLS.
11. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
